Active Pixel image Sensor with Motion Detection
نویسندگان
چکیده
This 256x256 active pixel sensor (APS) is designed for consumer multimedia applications requiring low-cost, high-functionality, compact cameras capable of acquiring highquality images at video frame rates. This sensor allows random access of the image data, permitting a simple implementation of electronic pan and zoom. Use in portable equipment is simplified by standard operatingvoltages andlow power (8OmW@5V, [email protected]). Fabrication in a standard CMOS process allows the integration of a variety of new and existing digital circuits with the image sensor. In addition, by making use of the implicit dynamic frame buffer provided by the active pixel structure, the sensor cangenerate a signal that represents the difference between sequential frames. This may be used for motion detection, image stabilization, and compression purposes.

متن کاملA 120μW vision chip with ROI detection
A smart ultra-low power CMOS image sensor comprising an analog programmable processor array is reported. Compact and efficient motion detection algorithms are implemented to process sub-sampled images made of so-called macropixels. Only Regions of Interest (ROI) consisting of macropixels containing moving objects are read out. This drastically reduces power consumption: the 110×240 pixel image ...

A high-speed non-destructive CMOS image sensor with bi-directional multiple charge transfer active pixel scheme is presented. The high-speed intermediate pictures are used in the motion vector estimation with adaptive iterative search. The sensor has an ability to cancel FPN of intermediate image. The proposed adaptive iterative search with high-speed non-destructive intermediate pictures reduc...
متن کاملA Computational Image Sensor with Adaptive Pixel-Based Integration Time
An image sensor is proposed in which the pixel adapts its integration time to motion and light. The integration time of each pixel is shortened if motion is detected in the pixel or pixel intensity becomes saturated. The adaptivity of motion and light significantly enhances temporal resolution and dynamic range of the sensor. Because the integration time differs pixel-by-pixel, a scene containi...
متن کاملRobot Motion Vision Pait I: Theory
A direct method called fixation is introduced for solving the general motion vision problem, arbitrary motion relative to an arbitrary environment. This method results in a linear constraint equation which explicitly expresses the rotational velocity in terms of the translational velocity. The combination of this constraint equation with the Brightness-Change Constraint Equation solves the gene...
